Zagori consists of 45 villages scattered in 1000 square kilometers, the so-called Zagorochoria. The foothills of Pindus include the river Aoos, Mount Tymfi, the gorge of Vikos, Valia Calda, the river Barda. Apart from the wonderful beauty of the natural landscape, Zagori has a very long history. Olympia, Alexander's Great mother, was from the village of the Molossians. What is more, Zagori is associated with the rebels of Napoleon Zerva who fought valiantly against the German occupiers in World War II.

Metsovo comes from the Slavic word "Metska" which means bear and "ovo" which means village. This is why there is an exhibit with some bears in the square of the village. In addition to the wonderful view of this picturesque town, you can visit the Folklore Museum of the Tositsa Foundation as well as the Averoff Gallery. Enjoy the incredible view and relax! Metsovo is just a 45-minute drive from the city of Ioannina.

The Kipina Monastery dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is perhaps the most impressive one in Epirus. It is located in the village of Kalarrytes in Tzoumerka and is carved into the steep rock causing awe to the visitor who observes it from below. You can also admire the secret cave that leads into the rock.

One of the most famous oracles of Antiquity exists in Dodoni. There are two myths about its existence. According to the first one, two women were sold in a marketplace with the first one ending up in Libya and the second one in Thebes where they founded the two oracles of Libya and Dodoni. The second myth states that two pigeons were released. The first one landed in Libya whereas the second one in Dodoni. This marked the establishment of the two oracles.
The ancient Theatre of Dodoni was built during the reign of Pyrrhus and it could accommodate 18.000 people. The ancient Theatre of Dodoni was regarded as the largest of its time.
